キーカードの一つ、《神秘の教示者/Mystical Tutor》が禁止となり、速度が落ちたANT。
神秘の教示者（通称：青チュー、ミスチュー）が使えた当時は青黒にタッチ白（か緑）のカラーリングをとり、安定性（コンボ成功率）を重視したタイプが多く見られた。
青チューを失ってからは、赤のマナ加速と《燃え立つ願い/Burning Wish》を加え、爆発力を高めている上記のタイプが増えた。

ドレッジは茶番デッキと思われがちだが、サイド後の立ち回り次第で使い手の実力が分かるデッキである。
墓地対策をかわしたり、ブッパするか地道にビートダウンするか…など、実に奥の深いデッキと言える。
